Me Time

Know what's awesome? Remembering to take care of yourself so you are ABLE to take care of others. :) There was about a year, year and a half period where I forgot that and felt like a used dishrag at the beginning and end of every day. Since getting back on Zoloft with my pregnancy with Izzy and staying faithfully on it, the dreadful gray fog has cleared and I've slowly found little ways to remind myself that yup, I'm not just the chick who provides food/diapers/boobies. I'm Hannah Mae.

I remember to shower every other day at least, and sometimes even close the door while I do it! I use the Nice Brand shampoo and occasionally splurge on actual body wash instead of just using shampoo for the same purpose. My hair might not always be brushed, but it's clean.

I take the time to play World of Warcraft at night and once in a while during the day. Eric and I use it as a great couples bonding time. <3 We're gamers at heart and the chance to game together is akin to a mini-date. Nothing like running Deadmines together, trying to get a particular piece of loot to drop, to bring a couple closer.

Find something that makes you happy, even if nobody else seems to really care or have anything to do with it, and do it. Take care of yourself-- only then are you fully equipped to take care of those who are counting on you.

Today I took the chance to organize and clean out my cupboards. No more piles of crap everywhere! This holds the dishes and thus has the most stuff on it. The boys' room was also streamlined again, this time focusing on blocks. More painful to step on, but also played with far more often.
