Holy schnikes. It's been non-stop.
1) Working-from-home at Amazon as customer service rep. Loving it. If you keep an eye on their job postings (or follow the Penny Hoarder's Jobs FB page-- which is what I did) in your area and there's an opening, go for it. Fun and helping people yay!
2) Working at Small Town Store 2-3 days a week nights and weekends, still. Drama llamas everywhere, but I try to focus on making at least one person's day a little bit better. If I can do that, I did good.
3) We got a kitten. Wee Illidan Stormrage, the Betrayer, looks exactly like a smaller version of Sister B's cats but fiesty and playful. He alternates between sleeping with us and sleeping with the boys and sometimes staying up all night playing. It's genuinely helped with the grief over losing Barky (whose license came in the mail a few weeks ago and man that was hard. The next day a "We're Sorry for Your Loss" card signed by everyone at the vet came and that was nice, though), and he'll eventually grow up to have a good amount of independence, as cats do. He's treated as the annoying younger brother by Sister B's cats(a grown kitty and her adopted girls a few months older than Illidan) and seems lonely/gets into trouble as a result when we sleep, so we're planning to get him a playmate on Tuesday. :D
4) Mother's Day was awesome. Eric got me the Legion expansion for World of Warcraft, I leveled to 110 surprisingly quickly, and we've been playing together at every opportunity. The stories are so intricate and fun that you hardly notice the leveling itself, and the quests have a big variety with new mechanics. I thought endgame would be boring, but nope-- it's bigger and fun in new and exciting ways.
All this on top of normal mom-ing duties.
Things are starting to settle into a crazy but semi-predictable schedule, so regular posting will resume. :)
