Sorry for the lack of posts lately-- the Kalamazoo plague hit our house like a truck on fire. Iz, Oli, and Eric were super sick in all the fun and gross ways. Negi and I escaped, minus a couple hours of me feeling off but not actually vomiting. Constantly cleaning up new laundry and puddles and diapers hasn't left much time for writing, but hey now that we are all feeling better I can get back on it!
We tried out ordering our groceries online. After doing my research and filling a cart on Amazon Pantry, Boxed, and Jet, we went with Jet.com. Sooooo much money was saved, the prices on EVERYTHING actively goes down as you add things to your cart, a great variety, two-day shipping on orders over $35 (which is easy to meet if you're doing your weekly grocery shopping trip), AND the first three orders save 15% off the total with the introductory code. :O Sister B loves the huge assortment of vegan options that are easy to find, and I loved finding everything from my Plan To Eat grocery list without having to drag three kids under five to the store. :D I'll update when they've actually arrived, as we ordered over the weekend so it won't be here til Tues-Wed, but Eric gave me the go-ahead to plan the next few weeks and order it all in one fell swoop to make the most of the 15% off. We saved almost $30 alone from that deal this time. Spent waaaay less than if I'd gone to Meijer, Wal-Mart, Aldi, or a combination of all three even with my amateur couponing skills and shopping the sales.
Picked up a huge tub of Duplos for the boys. They're already getting way more use than their regular toys, so if Eric remembers to bring home some giant boxes from work I can pack up most of their abandoned toys for another time. :P Here's Negi's "Eyeball monster army from Power Rangers!" which is different from the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers I remember but alright.
Today is Sunday, so Sister B and I bake bread. Meijer had no reusable mini tins so we had to make do this week with foil, but next week we should be set. Didn't have to make rolls today as we still have some in the freezer. Sister B opted for minis because they're easier to take to work every night. :)
